Basting Down a Wholecloth Quilt Dream Big

Hi everyone, Students ask me all the time about my process when I am doing different things.  I had a Dream Big panel that I was quilting for a client and I wanted to share how I do that.  These 3 videos will take you through that process from start to finish.  In second video, the quilt is already loaded onto the frame and I show how I bast down the whole quilt. As always, you can reach out with any questions you might have.   Be sure to follow me on Facebook and Instagram @AdamSewFun Happy Sewing, Adam

    Stitching the Dream Big

Hi everyone, Students ask me all the time about my process when I am doing different things.  I had a Dream Big panel that I was quilting for a client and I wanted to share how I do that.  These 3 videos will take you through that process from start to finish.  In this final video I start stitching. I talk about my plan and you will see me stitching out parts of the dream big. I apologize that I didn't get film of me stitching out the whole thing. In the middle of me working on this, we added a new puppy to our family (he makes a cameo) and I had to steal time here and there to get the quilting done. I think it still gives the idea though. As always, you can reach out with any questions you might have.   Be sure to follow me on Facebook and Instagram @AdamSewFun Happy Sewing, Adam

    Auditioning Thread Dream Big

Hi everyone, Students ask me all the time about my process when I am doing different things.  I had a Dream Big panel that I was quilting for a client and I wanted to share how I do that.  These 3 videos will take you through that process from start to finish.  This first video is how I selected my thread colors. I did not make a loading video, as I have already done one of those.  It's called loading the burrito method and be sure to check it out. As always, you can reach out with any questions you might have.   Be sure to follow me on Facebook and Instagram @AdamSewFun Happy Sewing, Adam

    Loading a Quilt, Burrito Method

Hi everyone, I always get asked to make a video of the way I load a quilt onto my Handi Quilter frame and now that I am stuck home, I have the time to make one. This is just the way I load a quilt, it doesn't mean that it is the best way. There are always more than 1 way to do things, this just happens to be the way I like to do it. Basting Down the Top and Sides

Hi everyone, This is how I like to baste the top and sides of my quilts. I like the plumb line method because then I am starting with a straight edge I can line things up with. I also like to use the HQ Versa tool when stitching down my top and sides, as it keeps my fingers away from the foot and it helps to hold the quilt in place as I stitch. Setting up an E2E in Pro Stitcher

Hi everyone, Today I am sharing how I set up an Edge 2 Edge or Panto design in Pro-Stitcher. I like to use the Crop Method because I get to decide how big my design is and what it will look like and just crop the edges after I have set everything up. I hope you like it and if you have any questions, you know how to reach me. Thank you so much for watching! Advancing Drag and Drop

    Advancing Drag and Drop

Hi everyone, This is the method of advancing the quilt I use. I like it because I don't have to put the needle down and roll my quilt and machine together. I also like this method because it is how I reposition my design if something happens and I forget to hit "DROP" when I am advancing, or if I have to shut down and come back to a project. If I have to be really precise, I use the Handi Quilter needle down method, but since I like designs that don't touch, this one works for me. Thank you so much for watching! Find your Start after a thread break in Pro Stitcher

Hi everyone, This is how I find my start point after running out of bobbin thread or I have a thread break. Most people think this is much harder than it really is, and once you get the hang of it, you will become a pro in no time. I hope you enjoy and thank you for watching.
