On to my new adventure

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my new page and blog. I am so excited to be starting this new career doing something I love. For the past 6 years I have worked in the corporate world as an accountant and I did love it. I worked with a wonderful group of people and a wonderful company. Debits and credit became my friends and I like that numbers never lie. I spent my days crunching numbers and I found that quilting was a way to calm my overactive mind after a long day of work. The hum of the sewing machine became a sound that I longed for. I would spend days working and nights quilting.

Fast forward 6 years and my life has quickly changed. We moved from Bakersfield, Ca to Eugene, Or, set up shop there for about 5 years and then were whisked away to Cleveland, Oh. We have now been in Cleveland for about 8 weeks and we are having a wonderful time. With being in a new home and traveling so much, I decided to change the name of the business to Adam Sew Fun and start a blog to keep everyone up to date with where I am, what I am doing and introduce you to some great quilt shops around the country. We quilters are a collective family, when we travel we always want to know where some great shops are on our path and I hope you will stop by some of these and say "hello."

Being a National Educator for Handi Quilter has been amazing and I am enjoying every part of it...even the nights sitting alone in my hotel room. Sometimes it's not the most glamorous but when a student sends a photo of something they quilted and says, "I would have never done this without you pushing us to take the leap," everything is worth it.

I want to spread my passion for quilting, my love of piecing, and my no fear approach to everything long arm. Take the leap, have fun doing it and always remember...

If you're not laughing, you're not living!

Adam
